The UK is a leading player globally in carbon capture, usage, and storage, having recently seen a number of projects through final investment decisions. International collaboration will be essential to scaling up and cooperation would benefit both the UK and the EU by reducing overall costs through shared infrastructure, achieving economies of scale, and accelerating emissions reductions across the North Sea region. Yet, establishing a Europe-wide CO₂ transport and storage market requires resolving several technical and regulatory challenges, how can we best address them?
