EnBW, with over 28,000 employees, is one of Germany's and Europe's largest energy suppliers. Transitioning to a sustainable infrastructure group, EnBW focuses on expanding renewable energy. For 15 years, it has planned, built, and operated offshore wind farms, with a current portfolio capacity of around 1 gigawatt.

The He Dreiht offshore wind farm, under construction since May 2024, will be operational by 2026. Additionally, EnBW and bp are developing three UK wind farms – Mona, Morgan, and Morven – totaling 5.9 GW. EnBW also won a contract for the 1 GW Dreekant wind farm in the German North Sea.
